Part of the Specialty Credit Reporting Agencies Guide.
TeleCheck, a First Data/Fiserv company, helps retailers decide whether to accept a personal check at the point of sale, based on your check-writing and payment history. If a check you wrote was declined at a store with no other explanation, TeleCheck is the most likely reason.

How to Pull and Dispute Your Report
Submit disputes online through TeleCheck's dispute form, or by downloadable PDF via mail or fax. TeleCheck investigates within 30 days — 45 days if you provide additional information during the investigation — and mails you the results.
Freezing Your TeleCheck File
TeleCheck is not a traditional credit bureau in the freeze sense — there is no formal security freeze process. You can, however, report fraud, forged or stolen checks, and identity theft directly through its dispute portal.
If your check was declined, the retailer should have provided (or should provide on request) the name of the reporting agency used, per FCRA adverse action requirements. Contact TeleCheck directly with the details of the declined transaction to start a dispute if you believe the decline was in error.
